The Life Cycle Of New Installations
Our project & services teams take the lead managing every aspect of a new installation. Once a sales order is received, it is then loaded as an internal sales order and assigned as a new internal project.
A dedicated Project Manager (PM) is then assigned to the order and is responsible for seeing the project through. He/she will liaise directly with the customer, any building contractors as well as our internal production teams.
The Project Manager has a vital role to play as he navigates the requirements in-store (on-site) while also ensuring all production timelines are met. A lot can change from the drawing board through to delivery & installation. Intricacies such as recessed floors for freezers, relevant piping and/or structural changes need to be navigated by the PM as the project progresses.
Production, Turnaround & Delivery
On any given project, the PM is responsible for the site inspection, feeding accurate measurements to the drafting team who draw up the layout of the store. Upon customer sign-off, production can then commence.
Cabinet production slots are booked and can take up to 6 weeks to finalise, with panel production at a 3 week turnaround. We have two internal installation teams that work nationwide, in conjunction with several reliable sub-contractors.
The Project Manager is on-site weekly coordinating the installation. Once the installation is near completion, the PM will conduct several walk through’s putting an eye to quality. The final sign-off comes from the customer where a completion certificate is issued along with the complete job file, which includes any SLA and/or warranty details.
